Energy management

Making better use of the energy available.

Energy management brings generation, storage and consumption together to make better use of the energy available at each time of day. Solar supplies the loads first, the surplus is stored in batteries, and the grid or generator stays as support.

01When it’s needed

Solar generation peaks during daylight hours, while many loads run in the evening or at night. In other cases demand grows, for example when electric vehicle charging is added, and the available connection falls short.

02How it works
  1. 01

    Generation supplies first

Solar energy is used directly by the loads in the installation.

  2. 02

    The surplus is stored

Whatever isn’t used at the time is stored in the battery for later.

  3. 03

    The battery supports demand

When demand exceeds what generation or the connection can supply, the battery makes up the difference within the system’s capacity.

How much is gained depends on the load profile, the generation available and the storage capacity.Roxon Hybrid inverters work in self-consumption mode: energy is used on site or stored in the battery, and none is exported to the grid.
