Roxon inverter and battery compatibility
All Roxon inverters are compatible with all Roxon batteries. Inverters and batteries operate at 48 V, and the battery BMS communicates with the inverter over CAN or RS485.

1 · Voltage
The voltage must match
A 48 V inverter works with 48 V batteries. The battery’s operating range must fall within the range the inverter accepts.
2 · Communication
The BMS must talk to the inverter
The battery connects over CAN or RS485 to the BMS card in the inverter’s expansion slot. The protocol is selected from the battery’s LCD screen.
3 · Capacity
Expand with batteries in parallel
Roxon batteries connect in parallel to add capacity. Use batteries of the same model in each bank.
Compatibility questions
Which Roxon battery can I use with my Roxon inverter?
Any of them. All Roxon inverters (RO62, RO86, RO11) are compatible with all Roxon batteries (Roxon Lithium 4.8, 9.6 and 15 kWh). They all operate at 48 V.
How does the battery communicate with the inverter?
The battery BMS connects over CAN or RS485 to the lithium battery communication card, which fits in the inverter’s expansion slot. The protocol is selected from the battery’s LCD screen.
