Energy continuity
Backup for what can’t stop.
Energy continuity means backing up the loads that must keep running when the power supply is interrupted. A hybrid inverter and a battery let those loads switch to stored energy automatically, and let the battery recharge from solar or from the grid once the supply returns.
A power outage can stop refrigeration, lighting, work equipment or communications. Its impact depends on which loads are interrupted and for how long, so the starting point is to identify the ones that need backup.
- 01
The loads to back up are defined
Essential loads are separated from the rest of the installation, and the energy they need during an outage is estimated.
- 02
The battery takes the load
When the supply fails, the inverter switches the backed-up loads to the battery automatically.
- 03
The energy is replenished
With solar generation available, or once the supply returns, the battery recharges for the next outage.
Which loads are backed up, and for how long, depends on the inverter power, the battery capacity and how the installation is used.
